Today’s Midweek Special focuses on a Robbery which took place in Columbus.
On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 7:18pm, the suspects, a male and a female, parked a silver Mercedes in front of a business. The male suspect entered the business and attempted to purchase cigars using his girlfriend’s ID photocopied to a sheet of paper. The clerk advised he was prohibited from selling tobacco without a valid ID. The male exited but returned with his girlfriend. They demanded cigars and the female tossed money on the counter. The clerk explained that he could not legally sell tobacco without a valid ID. The male became upset and pushed his way behind the counter, taking a pack of cigars. The clerk demanded the return of the stolen property and was knocked to the ground by the suspect. The female took the pack of cigars from her boyfriend, crushed them in her hand and threw them back at the clerk. The couple exited the business together and drove away.
