This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on an infant that was found in the rear collection point of a trash truck.

 

On June 15th, 2023 at approximately 2:19 p.m. officers from the Plain City Division of Police responded to the 100 block of Bluestem Ln. and found a newborn infant between zero to one month of age inside the collection point of a trash truck. Medical personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the infant deceased.

During the investigation officers checked the area for cameras including doorbell cameras and any other surveillance footage. Officers are currently following up with all possible leads and actively looking for more information in regards to the incident.

A funeral for the infant will be held on Saturday June 24th at a nearby funeral home.
