Keeyon Capers Homicide

 This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Homicide that took place in Columbus.

On May 1, 2022 at approximately 1:29p.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a possible shooting at 2047 Hamilton Avenue (Hamilton Stem Academy). Upon arrival officers and medics discovered Keeyon Capers sitting in this vehicle deceased, suffering from gunshot wounds. During the course of the investigation it was learned the shooting occurred on April 30, 2022 at approximately 11:00a.m. The suspect fled north from the scene where he got onto a COTA bus at East Hudson Avenue and McGuffey Road.
