This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Homicide that took place in Columbus.

On September 1, 2020, at approximately 10:24 a.m., Patrol officers responded to the area of 851 Wellington Blvd. on a shooting run.  Upon arrival, they discovered the victim. Michael James Fair Jr., inside a blue Ford Fusion, who had been shot.  The victim was pronounced dead at scene at 10:33 a.m.  Preliminary investigative results ascertained, from several witnesses at scene, a possible suspect vehicle as a full-size black pick-up truck with fancy wheels and possibly tinted windows being driven by a younger black male suspect with short wavy hair, dark complexion and skinny.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
