Today’s Midweek Special focuses on a shooting which took place in Columbus.
On April 17, 2022, around 6:49pm, an unidentified suspect entered Ameristop Food Mart on Walford St. The suspect tried to sell a pair of shoes to a customer. The customer said he wasn’t interested and that’s when the suspect punched the victim in the face. The suspect fled the store and the victim followed him. The suspect then fired a shot at the victim, which struck another male in the stomach. The suspect fled the scene in a dark color 4-door sedan. The suspect was described as 5’, 100lbs., possibly Nepali. He was wearing a very distinctive jacket. Surveillance videos of the suspect may be viewed on our website, www.stopcrime.org.
