Assault on the north side of Columbus

 Today’s Midweek Special focuses on a Felonious Assault which took place on the north side of Columbus.

On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at approximately 8:45pm, Columbus Police officers responded to the 5800 Block of Satinwood Drive on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located Yaseen Rashid suffering from a gunshot wound. Mr. Rashid was subsequently transported to a local area hospital where he remains in critical condition. The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene. It is believed Mr. Rashid was lured to the area by a known suspect(s) who then shot him.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the person(s) responsible for this crime.  Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477) or go to our website at www.stopcrime.org and e-mail your tip.
