This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Homicide which took place in Columbus in 2021.

On Sunday, August 1, 2021, at approximately 10:15pm, Officers were dispatched to the residence of 447 S. Hampton Road, on a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers found Mr. Martin Hall outside the residence with a gunshot wound. Mr. Hall and a few of his friends had been socializing while sitting outside enjoying the evening and talking. During this time, a vehicle drove down the street and fired multiple bullets in the direction of the conversing group. Mr. Hall was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
