On the night of November 6, 2002, Columbus Police responded to the area
of Columbian Avenue and Sullivant Avenue on a report of a shooting. When
officers arrived at the scene, they found Troy Burchett suffering from
an apparent gunshot wound. Mr. Burchett was transported to a local
hospital where he later succumbed to his injury. Police have no
suspect(s). This homicide investigation remains open.
