On September 8, 2022, at 12:44 a.m., Patrol officers responded to the 6000 block of E. Broad St. where there was a report of a person shot in the parking lot. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Mr. Allen Wright Jr., who had been shot multiple times. Mr. Wright was transported to Mt. Carmel East where he was pronounced dead at 1:17 a.m. There were no witnesses left at scene upon the detectives' arrival.
