This week’s Crime of the Week is a hit skip crash that occurred on March 30, 2025, at 3:20am on I71. Tania Irvin was involved in a single vehicle crash on I71, where she spun out and stuck the median wall. Ms. Irvin’s vehicle was disabled as a result of the crash and was facing southbound against the median wall. Ms. Irvin began walking northbound on I71 in the number 1 lane and was struck by an unknown vehicle. That vehicle did not stop. As Ms. Irvin lay on the roadway she was stuck by another unknown vehicle that also did not stop at the scene of the crash. Columbus Fire Department Engine 16 arrived on scene at 3:33am and pronounced Ms. Irvin deceased.
