This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Hit and Run crash that occurred in Columbus Ohio

Hit and Run

On March 13, 2025, at approximately 7:40pm, a sliver, 2012 Nissan Quest Minivan was traveling west on Mt. Veron Avenue and turned right to go north on Graham St. The Nissan Quest approached the next intersection of Hildreth Avenue as a minibike being operated by a juvenile with an adult passenger was traveling east on Hildreth Ave. The minibike operator failed to yield to the minivan’s right of way and struck the minivan. Both riders from the minibike were ejected and the adult sustained serious injuries from the crash. The driver of the minivan stopped after the crash, walked around for a short time, and then left the crash scene as well as leaving the minivan. The minivan has been reported stolen.

A Columbus Neighborhood Safety Camera located at Mt. Vernon Ave and Graham St., recorded the minivan as it turned the corner from Mt. Vernon Ave to go north on Graham St. The driver of the minivan is visible but not identifiable as the van makes the turn. Another Neighborhood Safety Camera at the same location recorded the crash from a distance. Columbus Police are looking for any videos or witnesses to this crash.
