On August 13, 2022, at approximately 1:41am, officers working a special duty assignment in the 100 Block of E Long St, aired a shots fired call. Officers responded to the area where the shots originated from and found the victim, 21yr old Sylvester Watkins, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. On August 13, 2022, the victim from this incident succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased at 7:20pm.
