On August 13, 2022, at approximately 1:41am, officers working a special duty assignment in the 100 Block of E Long St, aired a shots fired call. Officers responded to the area where the shots originated from and found the victim, 21yr old Sylvester Watkins, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. On August 13, 2022, the victim from this incident succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased at 7:20pm.
Crime Stoppers does not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller. Information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors.
