This week’s Crime of the week focuses on a homicide that took place in Columbus, Ohio, on December 19, 2022.

On December 19, 2022, at 12:36am, Columbus Police responded to the 2000 block of N 4th St on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival they discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The location was a rental property where a party was being held. Witnesses claim the shots were fired into the house from the outside. Multiple vehicles were observed leaving the scene. Officers arrived at the scene and located the first victim, Talon-Dre M. L. Barker. Mr. Barker was lying on the kitchen floor, suffering from a gunshot wound. Mr. Barker was transported to OSU Medical Center in critical condition. The second victim was also located in the kitchen and was shot in the chest area and was transported to Grant Medical Center, also in critical condition. The third victim was treated at the scene for a gunshot wound to his hand. Unfortunately, Mr. Barker did not survive his injuries and was later pronounced deceased. The other victims have recovered from their injuries. If anyone has information on the suspect/suspects involved, please contact Central Ohio Crime Stoppers.
