This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Felonious Assault that took place in Columbus.

On September 7, 2023 at 12:53 p.m. Officers were dispatched to 1200 block of Stone Ridge Dr. on a report of a criminal damaging report where the caller stated that their vehicle was shot three times.

Officers spoke with the Victim who stated that he and his friend were leaving the apartments near 1500 Bay Club Cir. after visiting with the Suspect (Mr. David Goodman) on the west side of Columbus. The Victim stated that as they were leaving the residence Mr. Goodman began to follow them. The Victim stated that Mr. Goodman followed them to the area of Georgesville Rd by the McDonalds and Uhaul store where he then fired multiple shots into their vehicle.

The Victim stated he saw the Suspect, Mr. Goodman fire the shots as he was ducking behind vehicles to avoid being shot.

After further investigation it was found that Mr. Goodman did indeed fire multiple shots into the Victims vehicle. Mr. Goodman can be seen on camera returning to the scene and hiding a firearm inside a vehicle.

Mr. Goodman is wanted for Two (2) counts of Felonious Assault and is believed to be armed and dangerous. He is described as a 23 year old male black who is 6’4 200lbs and is known to frequent the west side of Columbus.
