This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Felonious Assault that took place in Columbus in 2022

 



On Sunday, Dec 18, 2022, Columbus police responded to 310 S. Eureka Ave. on a call for service involving nine rounds being fired and detected by ShotSpotter. While in route to the location officers were informed that an individual had been shot and was lying in the street near the location they were dispatched to. Officers arrived on scene and found the victim suffering from four gunshot wounds. During the investigations the victim informed police that he was being walked to an unknown location by the suspect, Mr. Antoine Pruitt to be assaulted. The victim stated that as he approached the intersection of Fremont St. and S. Eureka Ave. he saw Mr. Pruitt take out a handgun and shoot him multiple times. Mr. Pruitt then fled south from the scene. 


Mr. Pruitt is wanted for one (1) count of Felonious Assault (F-1) and is considered to be armed and dangerous.
