Hiltonia Park Shooting

 This week’s “Crime of the Week” focuses on a Shooting that took place in Columbus.

On September 17, 2022 at approximately 1:56 a.m. officers were dispatched to Hiltonia park on report of a shots fired at a youth football game.  Upon arrival officers made contact with witnesses who relayed after the conclusion of a youth football game, an unknown juvenile male black individual fired multiple gunshots into the air adjacent to the park in the area of 800 S. Wayne Ave.  Witnesses advised these gunshot were fired by an associate of a player who was earlier ejected from the game for fighting.  Nothing was struck and there were no injuries reported in association with the gunshots fired.

The suspects are seen leaving the scene on bicycles immediately after the shots are fired.
