Today’s mid week crime of the week focuses on a Homicide that occurred in Columbus in 2020.
We are looking for witnesses.
On May 24, 2020 at approximately 9:06 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the area of 1939 Maryland Ave. on a gun run. Officers arrived at scene and located the victim, Andrew Kelley, laying on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound. Mr. Kelley was transported to the hospital for treatment, however, he did not survive and was pronounced deceased at 11:55 p.m. Video obtained from this location show that there was a fight between Mr. Kelley and some other males that were at this location. There were approximately 20 to 30 people at scene when the shooting occurred. Asking for anyone with information to please come forward.
