On January 23, 2022, this suspect broke into a Honda dealership in the 6700 block of Sawmill Rd. (Dublin PD jurisdiction). The suspect stole the victim’s Honda that was undergoing repairs.
The victim had some of his terminally ill mother’s belongings in the trunk of his car including keys to her house.
Despite efforts to get the locks changed on his mother’s house, it was burglarized a few days later (Columbus PD jurisdiction).
The burglar stole the mother’s silver 2016 Audi A5 that was parked in the garage.
Detectives from both jurisdictions believe the car thefts are related.
